.I'm also going to take a bit of a risk with this fun print. It fits in with the color scheme and from a distance looks like a cute little 1940's style striped design. Up close they are playing cards, which seems appropriate given that (I think) we're amidst horse racing season and the hot summer calls for gambling and barrooms.I only wish I had more hours in the day to create all my new designs and keep up wtih this blog!

Well I've spent a lot of time deliberating over my next fabric order. I haven't gotten even close to clearing out my current stock, but I feel I should mix things up a bit in order to keep people interested.

short description on wikipedia of the origin of the term "tea dress." Lately I've been trying to figure out what tags will work well to describe my dresses and direct the customers. I've considered sack, bubble, smock, yoke, bib and tent dress. Yet the trusty tool Craftopolis (which uses google analytics) is leading me to see that none of these terms have accounted for page visits or, eventually, sales. I've seen a lot of people use the term tea dress and couldn't figure out if it referred to the length, to the style of bodice, or what.
